A few weeks ago my mother sent me a letter and it had this poem on it and I really liked it so I thought I would share it with all of you.

The Tree that never had to fight,

For sun and sky and air and light,

But stood out on the open plain,

Footprints

One night a man had a dream.
He dreamed he was walking along the beach with the Lord. Across the sky flashed scenes from his life. For each scene he noticed two sets of footprints in the sand; one belonged to him, and the other to the Lord.

When the last scene of his life flashed before him, he looked back at the footprints in the sand. he noticed that many times along the path of his life there was only one set of footprints. He also noticed that it happened at the very lowest and saddest times in his life.

This really bothered him and he questioned the Lord about it. "Lord, you said that once I decided to follow you, you'd walk with me all the way. But I have noticed that at the worst times in my life, there is only one set of footprints. How could you leave me when I needed you the most?"

The Lord replied " My precious, precious child, I love you and would never leave you. During your times of suffering. When you see only one set of footprints, it was then that I carried you.



The Lord is always here for us even when we don't see him.

Keystone

In an arch you have lots of stones, the foundation, voussoir, springer and the keystone. All of these stones you need to make an arch but one of the most important stones there is in the arch, is the Keystone. In the Websters dictionary it says about keystones, "Keystone is the wedge shaped piece at the crown of an arch that Locks the other pieces in place." So if you have the keystone, the arch stands, if you take it out the arch falls.
   
     Joseph Smith once taught, "The Book of Mormon is the Keystone of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints." All the pressure  is on the Book of Mormon. If that gets taken out then everything falls. If the Book of Mormon is not true than Joseph Smith did not see our Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. That would mean that they did not tell Joseph to Restore the Church that Jesus Christ set up on the earth. It would also mean that Joseph Smith is not a prophet and we would not have a living Prophet on the earth today. Which would mean God dose not speak to mankind anymore.
But the Book of Mormon is true.
 
  Elder Holland once said "For 179 years this book has been examined and attacked, denied and deconstruction, targeted and torn apart like perhaps no other book in modern religious history—perhaps like no other book in any religious history. And still it stands."
“No wicked man could write such a book as this; and no good man would write it, unless it were true and he were commanded of God to do so.”
  
  I am so grateful that I have found out for my self that the Book of Mormon is true, and because I know its true I know that we have a prophet on the earth today, that our Loving Heavenly Father still speaks to all of us today and that Joseph Smiths is really The Prophet that restored Christ's Church, that Jesus really is the Christ, The Son of a Living God

Armor of God

On April 27, 2010 I was in Powell Wyoming and I went over to a house of one of my favorite people Abraham and we started to talk like we always do and talk about the scriptures and he had a card  with some scriptures on it and it was about the Armor of God;

Ephesians 6:11-17  

"11Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. 

12For we wrestle not against  flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. 13Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye maybe able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. 

14Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; 

15And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; 

16Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. 

17And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit,which is the word of  God:"

     Now the part that I want to talk about in verse 16 where is says "above all, taking the shield of faith," I think it is really interesting that it says above all I have asked a lot of people why would it say that why is the shield of faith so important? My companion when I got this card said, 
     "Well a shield is your first and last defense its the last thing that you put on when you are going to a battle but its the first thing that you use. It also takes the hardest hits."
      Then when I came here to Cody I asked a few more people and my companion at the time said, 
     "It dose all of that and much more your shield shows who you are and what you stand for, it shows who's side you are on, it shows the kind of person that you are." 
     When we have the shield of faith we show that we follow God and Jesus Christ and we have Faith in their love for us and His atonement. I can tell you that I know that God loves us more than we can imagine and that Jesus Christ did something so great for us that made it possible for us to return to live with Him and our Heavenly Father. I am so great full that I have the chance to be here online and show my shield of faith.
